Commonwealth Kajima Development @ Jalan Besut

The 8 Jalan Besut project is a food logistics facility which can store up to 80 million kilograms of food. The building span more than 500,000 sqft, about the size of 6½ football fields and stand at 100m tall. The building consists of ambient warehouse, air-conditioning warehouse and cold rooms with 4°C to 7°C ante/chiller and -25 to -27°C freezer. One of the cold rooms is 42m high and fully equipped with automated sorting and material handling equipment to improve operational productivity and make labour more efficient. In terms of green efforts, up to 5,500m2 of photovoltaic panels have been installed on the metal roof to reduce CO2 emissions.
